‘The Boy With The Boxing Gloves’
The story begins with a feeling. A boy, and old pair of worn out leather boxing gloves and a sparrow. In this series of paintings I explore the feelings of courage, despair and hope. The gloves are a reminder of the will to fight, the courage to fight and also the need to stop fighting. The Sparrow is the little voice of hope, wisdom, and spiritual guidance. The Boy is… anyone who has ever struggled.
